Treehouse Retreat sits on land that has been in John's family for five generations. For over a century, the family has walked these paths, planted these trees, and protected the incredible peace of this space.
Our journey of sharing this paradise actually started with the NZMCA POP onsite. Welcoming motorhome travellers to our property showed us just how much people crave a quiet, beautiful place to park up, breathe, and connect with nature just 15 minutes north of Christchurch Airport.
After seeing how much joy the land brought to visitors, we knew we wanted to expand the experience. Treehouse Retreat was born from that exact desire: to open our gates further and create a premium, self-contained sanctuary nestled right into the land and rustic gardens.

A Note from Louise & John
“Hi, we're Louise and John. This land has been our personal sanctuary for a long time, and we are incredibly proud to share it with others.
As a practicing massage therapist, trained yoga teacher and personal trainer, Louise's life work is centred entirely around wellness, movement, and deep relaxation. Treehouse Retreat is an extension of that passion. With a love for travel and exploring new places on the horizon, we've poured everything we know about comfort, peace, and hospitality into this space.
When you stay here, our goal is to give you absolute privacy to unplug, while ensuring every restorative detail—from the private onsite sauna to the spa pool under the stars—is taken care of. We are so honoured to welcome you to our space.”
